Update

Emotionally I'm feeling better about the whole spotting/cramping bit. It's been on and off since Thursday, currently on, and it's not getting any worse. Stress isn't good for me or the pregnancy, so at this point, I'm ignoring it unless something significant happens, and just going about my day. At home I'm still trying to lay and around chill (i.e.-be lazy) as much as possible, and at work, I'm trying not to let the screamers get me frazzled, and to sit in the chair as much as they'll allow me.

I figure it this way. Besides doing what I'm already doing, I have no control over the outcome of this. I pray that it's God's plan to give us a healthy, hopefully full-term baby in about 33 more weeks, but if it's not, then it was for a reason. I don't have to know that reason, I just have to trust that it's what was best for us right now and that He knows this.

Friday can't come soon enough. My awesome mom is going to get off work early to pick Jack up from his last day of school and take him swimming. She figures it gives her time to spend with her boy, and if God forbid we get bad news on Friday, she can keep him, give him dinner and play with him which will give us a few hours to just be together and process (get our shit together) before we bring him home. I'll be honest, I'm terrified to go Friday, but I'm really glad Archie will be with me this time.

  1. Hey there Jacksmom, I completely missed reading the previous post, till about two minutes back. Jeeezus, I am so sorry.

I have no sensible words to say about the cramping and the spotting, but I hope the Bean will make it. I sure hope. That drama or pain is not needed. I do not know what the future holds. I hope Archie will be there with you during your next ultrasound and there would be positive news in the offing. Take Care!

  3. Hi! I'm praying for you. God is taking care of you. Just for some comfort: I had spotting off and on during the first several weeks. I read somewhere online that this is very common and doesn't have to indicate a problem. I know you can't help but worry, but hopefully that will give you some comfort. :) Love you!

  4. I think you are taking the right attitude. There's no point in praying and worrying. So of you cna only do one...I'd choose praying too. And leave worrying for someone else.

  6. Dear Lord, please just cradle this precious baby in her womb. Protect it, nurture it, and if it needs it, please heal it. We wait on You. Amen.
